Dear Tango Family,
I'm organizing something close to my heart — and I’d love for you to be part of it.
Later this year — we're thinking October or November — we’ll launch Milonga del Mundo, a global tango cluster event hosted on IdealHive. The idea is simple, but powerful: local milongas held around the world, each one filled with love and connection, all united by a shared cause.
What’s a Cluster Event?
Cluster Events are a signature of IdealHive — globally connected, locally hosted gatherings centered on community and creativity. They allow people in different places to contribute to the same purpose, through unique, independently organized events.
Think of it as a constellation of happenings — many small lights, one shared glow.
How It Works
• You host a local milonga — in a studio, park, hall, café, wherever your tango family gathers.
• You choose your time — ideally during the same weekend or month.
• Together, we support a shared cause:
• Donate a portion of entry proceeds
• Or simply pass the hat
• We gather stories, pictures, and videos to celebrate our global ronda together.
What Cause Should We Dance For?
Here are a few ideas we’re considering — and we’d love your input:
• Arts & Cultural Preservation
Keeping traditional and evolving art forms like tango alive and thriving.
• Refugee & Migrant Support
Honoring tango’s immigrant roots by supporting displaced communities.
• Mental Health & Emotional Healing
Tango as therapy, connection, and solace in difficult times.
• Women’s Empowerment
Celebrating evolving roles and leadership in tango — and in life.
